Great video and pics! The cold and I don't get along, but for some reason I like to go to the beach on the coldest day of the year. This year it was only a short visit because I had to get to the office.
I was out a couple of weeks ago when it was pretty cold, and my fingers got numb trying to mess with the settings. Not only that but it was dark at the time. This time I made sure to preset the settings before I left the house.
Nice! I have those handwarmer packs, and they seem to work well enough. Though I'm usually moving, when I'm out by the ice, not standing by a tripod, so YMMV.
This is proof that sometimes even though the cons outweigh the pros it's still worth just doing something. Great capture here! A magically beautiful scene.

I recently ordered heated gloves—hopefully, they’ll help keep my fingers warm. It would make winter outings so much more enjoyable.

Beautiful. Here in New England we call it "sea smoke"... a real testament to the awe and wonder that mother nature can invoke. Love this!
Apparently there are a few names for it! (Arctic) Sea smoke, frost smoke, or steam fog.

Couldn’t have said it better. “Just do it”!
